The hospital designed for Dr. Wackchaure in Akole is indeed a significant improvement for the village, considering the limited number of poor-quality hospital facilities previously available. Prior to the establishment of this hospital, villagers had to travel to near by cities for medical treatment. With the addition of this hospital, the local community now has access to better healthcare facilities within their own village. The design of the hospital prioritizes the well-being and comfort of the patients. Plenty of natural light and ventilation have been incorporated into the design, creating a pleasant and soothing environment. The bright color theme also contributes to the overall atmosphere and aids in the recovery process of the patients. Additionally, the efficient utilization of every square inch of space was crucial, given the limited plot size available for the hospital’s construction. The façade of the hospital is a standout feature, designed with interlocking aluminum tubes. This unique architectural element not only enhances the attractiveness of the building but also sets it apart from other structures in the area. The earthy tones of the aluminum and brick also complement the natural surroundings, creating a harmonious integration between the hospital and its environment. One of the notable highlights of the hospital is its 400 square foot operating theater (OT).
